As a parent, I try to provide experiences that give my son the opportunity to develop skills he probably won’t learn at Pre School. Our family project during the pandemic was called “Bus Ruby” - a 40-ft school bus we converted to a camper.
He wasn’t even 4, but Logan knows how to use a hammer, pliers, a socket wrench, and a paint brush. More importantly, he’s learning to problem solve, express his creativity, give and receive feedback, and ask for help. The parallels to leadership are clear.
